Priest Alexander NOVIKOV – head of sector for work with medical establishments in Rostov diocese, confessor of the RODS Rostov regional branch

 The Rostov regional branch of the Russian Orthodox Doctors Society (RODS) was created in January 2008 on the basis of the Mother-of-God-of-Kazan Cathedral in the city of Rostov-on-Don. Nowadays the Society comprises 30 medical professionals, including one doctor of medical sciences, 4 candidates of sciences, one honored doctor of Russia. The priest Alexander Novikov, the Society confessor, tells about different lines of activity, including mainly: weekly patients’ visits to the orthodox doctor office; routine travels to villages for health survey of children and adults; conferences, seminars, and lectures on medical subjects.
